Save the Date: Alumni Reunion Aug. 6
This August, The Cadets Alumni will host the inaugural Cadets Alumni Reunion Brunch -- a new DCI East Weekend tradition not to be missed.
The reunion provides an opportunity for alumni from all decades to come together at the corps' biggest home show of the year, the DCI Eastern Classic.
"DCI East holds a special place in all of our hearts," said Allison Broussard, Marketing and Development Manager for Cadets Arts & Entertainment and Co-Chair of the Cadets Alumni Committee. "With so many alumni traveling to Allentown for all the nostalgia and excitement of late-season drum corps at J. Birney Crum Stadium, we decided to create a fun, affordable event that is feasible for as many alumni to attend as possible."
The intent is for the annual Cadets Alumni Reunion to be a gathering for all alumni, while drawing the theme from the corps celebrating their tenth, twentieth, thirtieth, etc., anniversaries. Therefore, the 2023 event will highlight 1943 (80th), 1953 (70th), 1963 (60th), 1973 (50th), 1983 (40th), 1993 (30th), 2003 (20th), and 2013 (10th).
The brunch will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday, August 6, 2023 -- a brunch time slot to accommodate those traveling a long distance home on Sunday.
The Cadets Alumni Committee and Management Team are planning a wonderful event to be held at the beautiful, Jazz-Age Americus Hotel in the heart of downtown Allentown.
