Andrew Denburg is from West Orange, New Jersey and attended West Orange High School, performing with the Marching Mountaineers on clarinet and later as drum major. Andrew started his DCI career playing mellophone with the Raiders of Wayne, NJ from 2008-2009 before joining the Cadets for the 2011-2013 seasons.
Andrew has been teaching marching band since the fall of 2011 all over the state of New Jersey at programs including Old Bridge, Verona, West Orange, Nutley and Roxbury. After aging out in 2013, Andrew taught visual at 7th Regiment from 2015-2018 and music at Jersey Surf from 2019-2022. Most recently, he has taught on the visual staff with the Carmel Marching Greyhounds of Carmel, Indiana since the fall of 2022. This is Andrew's first year on the visual staff with the Cadets.
Andrew attended university at Rutgers in New Brunswick, New Jersey and received his undergraduate degree in Music Education from the Mason Gross School of the Arts. Andrew currently lives in West Orange and teaches band in North Jersey.
