Board Appoints New Director for FY2023
The Cadets Arts & Entertainment (CAE) Board of Directors recently voted in Gary Matczak as its newest member for the 2023 term and beyond.
Gary is a Licensed Architect registered in Pennsylvania and New York and directs his firm, Gary Matczak Architects, in Erie, Pa. He began his professional career in 1979 as a drafter and attained professional licensure after serving a 15-year apprenticeship. Gary is a longtime member of the American Institute of Architects and served as Pennsylvania State President in 2013.
"The Board of Directors is pleased to add Gary Matczak to our team as we continue to chart a sustainable future for the organization," said John Broschak, Board Chairperson.
Gary is also a professional musician and has been a member of the Musicians Union, Local 17 for over 40 years. He currently serves as the Business Manager for the Erie Thunderbirds and the Board Secretary for the Erie Drum Corps Association, and he is a member and founder of the Pennsylvania Drum Corps Hall of Fame.
"Gary's rich drum corps history and substantial Erie connections will increase our capacity to support The Cadets for years to come," Broschak said.
