Mirranda Gilbert is a native of Chesapeake, Va. She is currently a senior at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. and will be graduating this May with a Bachelor's degree in Justice Studies.

Mirranda's marching arts career began as a member of the Grassfield High School Marching Band from 2015 to 2018. She was also a member of the GHS Winterguard from 2016 to 2019. After graduating high school, she was a member of the JMU Marching Royal Dukes Colorguard from 2019 to 2021. She has been a member the JMU Nuance Open Winterguard since 2020.

Mirranda became a Cadet in 2019 and has been a member of the color guard ever since. 2023 will be her fourth and age-out year of performance in DCI.
