Wilbert Toruno comes to The Cadets from Miami, Fla. He has been involved in the marching arts for over 10 years. He started his career in the arts as a saxophone player in marching band at South Dade Senior High School, where he was also a member of the competitive winter guard.

Over the years, Wilbert has marched with several groups, including the FIU marching band, South Florida Independent (2018), Relentless Open (2020), Relentless World (2021), and the FIU Gold Winter Guard (2022). He is a WGI Winter Guard Gold Medalist. He also recently aged out as a member of the Spirit of Atlanta Color Guard.

Wilbert has taught numerous high schools, such as Coral Gables Senior High School, Hialeah Miami Lakes High School, South West High School, Hialeah Gardens High School, Doral Academy, Hialeah High school and Coral Reef High School. He also served as a technician for the FIU Winter Guard. He is currently attending Florida International University, studying Science Education.
