Andrew J. Schnieders is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, the University of Southern Mississippi, Hallandale High School, and the School for the Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio. His impressive music career includes performances with BLAST (Broadway, Disney, and North American Tour), Brass Theater; Star of Indiana Drum & Bugle Corps, and the South Florida Youth Symphony.

Since graduating to the roles of teacher and arranger, he has worked for several world-class drum corps, including the Colts, Crossmen, and Southwind, as well as numerous reputable high school band programs, including Center Grove HS, Avon HS, Carmel HS, Plainfield HS, Jasper HS, Newcastle HS, Northview HS, Lafayette HS, George Rogers Clark HS, Dixie Heights HS, Madison Central HS, North Hardin HS, South Oldham HS, North Laurel HS, Scott HS, Terre Haute South HS, Tri West HS, Mooresville HS, Floyd Central HS, and Zionsville HS.

Andrew also has an impressive military career. He received his education and training at Ft. Benning, Ga., and went on to serve on the following assignments: Operations NCO, 53rd Civil Support Team; Readiness NCO, 738th Brigade Signal Company; NCOIC Signal Support, Flintlock (Niger, Africa); Operations NCO, 219th Engineer Brigade; Signal LNO, Slovak Shield (Lest, Slovakia); Biathlon Team Member, INARNG; Executive Assistant, 38th Infantry Division; Operations NCO, JFHQ-J9; Executive Assistant, 38th Combat Aviation Brigade (Balad, Iraq); Heavy Machinery Operator, CAJMTCRTLP; Squad Leader, 38th Infantry Division Band; Military Funeral Honors; MDI Ceremonial Unit.

Andrew has received the following decorations, awards, and citations: Army Commendation Medal (3), Army Achievement Medal (2), National Defense Service Medal, Iraq campaign Medal with Bronze Service Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (2), Armed Forces reserve Medal with “M” device, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3), Army Service Ribbon, Indiana Commendation Medal, Indiana Recruiting Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Indiana Overseas Service Ribbon, Indiana OCONUS Ribbon, MDI Ceremonial Unit Badge and Tab, Sharpshooter.

His interests include outdoor adventure, spending time with family, playing music, track riding motorcycles, snowboarding, skiing, travelling, trying local foods, home improvement, community development, and staying involved with our youth.
