Cadets Announce Food Team Leads for 2023

It takes a talented team of generous, diligent people to sustain The Cadets through a season - people who volunteer their time and hard work to keep our members and staff well nourished through the rigors of the day to day drum corps life.

This year, a team of three dedicated individuals will be leading The Cadets Food Team, serving for the entire Spring Training and Summer Tour: Carrie Gentry, Dave Paterniti and Kris Paterniti.

"I am beyond thrilled with Dave, Kris and Carrie heading up the team," said Brian Murphy, Director of The Cadets. "They are all rock stars. We couldn’t be in better hands," he said.

Carrie Gentry Carrie Gentry has been a color guard director for over 25 years for groups of all levels throughout Indiana and has taught across the country for high school groups and as a guest clinician. She has been choreographer for winter drumlines for over 15 years and has been part of scholastic and independent WGI medalist and championship groups in A, Open and World class. She truly loves the teaching aspect of the pageantry arts and has extended that to the judging circuit. Read her full bio.
Dave Paterniti Dave and his wife, Kris, became members of The Cadets family in 2017 when their daughter, Anna, was first contracted with the corps as a trumpet player. He was an electrical engineer by trade and worked for the local power company in Jamestown, N.Y. for 35 years until his retirement in the spring of 2022. He has also worked summers with the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department in the Marine Patrol Division for the past 39 years, and he continues to do so. Read his full bio.
Kris Paterniti Kris was head waitress at a private women’s organization in Jamestown for 12 years. She is currently employed at Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua, N.Y., in Special Events. This past season, she served the featured lecturers every day. Kris has done three full tours on The Cadets' food truck: 2018, 2019 and 2021, specifically cooking for members with special dietary needs. Read her full bio.
