The Maroon & Gold+ giving community recently commenced a new social gathering, complete with door prizes!
In December, we held our first Cadets Cocktail Hour - a casual, virtual conversation hosted by Interim CEO and Cadets Alumna Vicki Ferrence Ray. Each month, Vicki is joined by a special, featured guest, along with other Cadets staff and board members.
We share a different cocktail recipe each month for anyone who wants to join us in some amateur mixology. Otherwise, guests are encouraged to bring whatever drinks or snacks they wish, and enjoy an hour chatting about the latest goings on in Cadetland.
December and January Prize Winners
Carrie Gentry - In December, we gave away a print of the 1982 color guard costume design, sketched and signed by Michael Cesario. This print was featured in The Cadets' 2021 production, Shall Always Be. Congratulations to Carrie Gentry, a current Cadets parent, dedicated Food Team volunteer, and Maroon & Gold+ member!
Mark Poquis - In January, Mark Poquis, an alumnus of The Cadets Baritone Section ('87-'88) and loyal supporter, was our prize winner. He will be receiving a custom art print from The Cadets' 85th Anniversary season, signed by the artist.

All gifts to the corps help so much. Maroon & Gold, our largest annual fundraiser, sets the corps up for success on the road with a boost in funds right before move-ins. But as a part of this campaign, Maroon & Gold+ monthly donations provide reliable funds The Cadets can count on year-round, which is so helpful for staffing, vehicle maintenance, equipment orders, camps, and so much more. Plus, it's a wonderful example of the strength in our numbers. (Imagine the stability of our drum corps if every Cadets alum and fan gave just $5 a month!)
