Taylor is an experienced educator and leader in the marching and pageantry arts.  He served as Band Director at Warren County High School from 1997 to 2018, leading the Dynamic Marching Machine to nine National High Stepping Drumline Championships, seven Class A National High Stepping Band Championships, two National Danceline Championships, two National Auxiliary Championships, five Class A State High Stepping Band Championships, as well as over one hundred 1st Place Drumline Trophies. In 2018, Taylor became a member of the music faculty at Virginia State University, where he is an Assistant Director of the Trojan Explosion Marching Band. Taylor is active in the HBCU Band Director’s Consortium and the Intercollegiate Music Association and has served as the President of the North Carolina Show-style Band Director’s Association.
