Andrew Monteiro is a music educator, percussion arranger and sound designer based in Philadelphia, Pa. He is a Cadets alumnus who marched during the 2010 and 2011 seasons in the front ensemble. 2024 will be his second year on The Cadets Design Team and his first as a Caption Manager.
Andrew served as the Front Ensemble Caption Supervisor for Cadets2 from the corps' inaugural year in 2012 through 2015, and Front Ensemble Arranger/Sound Designer from 2016 to 2018. He was on staff with The Cadets Front Ensemble from 2014 to 2017. He was also the Front Ensemble Arranger, Manager and Sound Designer for Cadets Winter Percussion PIW from 2014 to 2016 when they placed first in WGI Independent Open their inaugural year. He also worked as Arranger/Sound Designer for The Bushwackers from 2016 through 2021 and is currently the Arranger and Sound Designer for the Reading Buccaneers, which won the DCA title in 2022 in his first year.
Andrew has worked with many indoor percussion programs in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut, including Norwalk High School PSO and United Percussion PIW as Sound Designer from 2017 to 2018. He has been the Front Ensemble Arranger, Manager and Sound Designer for George Mason University’s Indoor Drumline PIW since 2019.
Andrew served on the design team at Carolina Crown as Front Ensemble Co-Arranger and Sound Designer from 2019 to 2022.
He returned to The Cadets in 2023 as the Front Ensemble Arranger and Soundscape Designer and added Front Ensemble Caption Manager to his responsibilities in 2024.
