Board Announces Advisory Management Oversight Committee

CAE Board of Directors Names Morrison, Doyle and Aldrich to Advisory Management Oversight Committee

Cadets Arts & Entertainment (CAE) today announced that Robert Morrison, Jim Doyle and Larry Aldridge have been named to the organization’s Advisory Management Oversight Committee.

CAE Board Chair Mark Herzing said that each of these individuals brings an extremely high level of expertise in business and organizational management to The Cadets and a passion for and experience in drum corps.

Herzing noted in an earlier statement that Morrison, a nationally recognized leader in the arts education and non-profit fields, had agreed to serve as a Special Advisor to the CAE Board of Directors. He will assist the Board and the CEO by providing advice and insight into staff hiring and organization, focusing on delivering an outstanding creative and teaching team to lead The Cadets to the next level of achievement and success.

Morrison is a former member of the Crossmen (1979-1982) and worked with DCI Hall of Fame member Thom Hannum on the Garfield Cadets Percussion Staff (1983-1986). After his time with The Cadets, Morrison worked with Santa Clara Vanguard between 1987 and 1992. During his career, he was a contributor to four DCI World Championships and three High Percussion Awards. He was elected to the Cadets Hall of Fame in 2002 and the DCI Hall of Fame in 2019. Currently, he serves as CEO of Quadrant Research, the nation’s preeminent arts education data analytics and market research firm.

He was also responsible for the management of its day-to-day operations. He founded DCI’s Marketing Committee, established DCI’s digital presence, and served as the principal point person for DCI’s partnership with Walt Disney. After his DCI years, Aldrich spent several years with the the Blue Devils' Board of Directors.
