Cadets Announce Centennial Endowment
As The Cadets look forward to 2034 and the corps' 100th anniversary, our management team has conceptualized an endowment fund for The Cadets to help ensure the future of the non-profit organization and corps in perpetuity. The creation of the Endowment was approved by the Cadets Arts & Entertainment (CAE) Board of Directors at the December 2022 Board Meeting.
"The CAE Board of Directors is focused on sustaining The Cadets into the future and providing an opportunity for generous and committed donors to leave a legacy gift," said Board Chairperson John Broschak. "A few of our alumni and supporters have already approached us, expressing interest in helping to start an endowment fund. We are so thankful for their generosity and passion for The Cadets' organization."
Using their commitments as a launch point, The Cadets Centennial Endowment will be a wonderful opportunity for alumni and supporters to leave a legacy gift that will inspire and empower young people to continue the tradition of the maroon and gold for generations to come.
"We will be celebrating our 100th anniversary before we know it!" said Vicki Ferrence Ray, Interim CEO of CAE. "We are thrilled to announce The Cadets Centennial Endowment as our first step in celebrating that upcoming milestone. Now is the time to think and act big and to secure the future of our wonderful drum corps for the next 100 years," she said.
The Goal
The goal of The Cadets Centennial Endowment is to raise $1.934 million in endowment funds by December 31, 2034.
More Information
Funds for the Centennial Endowment will be requested and contributed through planned giving/estate gifts in order to create a stable, financial future for The Cadets. These gifts will not divert from the Maroon & Gold, Power The Cadets, or Holiday Campaigns. Contributors to the endowment may choose to be honored before or after The Cadets receive their estate gift, or remain anonymous.
