A Letter to Our 2020 Donors

Dear Donor, Thank you for your donation to The Cadets this year. As a non-profit performing arts organization that relies on in-person events, 2020 seemed almost impossible earlier this year. Yet, thanks to your generosity, we were able to not only continue to operate, but to use this year to lay a strong foundation for our organization for many, many years to come. Unlike many other corps, The Cadets have continued to hold regular rehearsals for our members throughout 2020, giving them a constant “normal” and a sense of purpose and camaraderie in a year filled with so much uncertainty [...]

Health & Wellness Committee: Keeping Our Cadets Safe

With the founding of Cadets Arts & Entertainment earlier this year, the Board of Directors has worked diligently to set up safeguards and establish committees to strategically lead The Cadets into greater success in the years ahead. In the context of 2020, the formation of a Health and Wellness Committee was of utmost importance. Comprised of a group of medical experts that have up-to-the-minute information on COVID-19 testing, vaccines, and current protocols, the CAE Health and Wellness Committee meets regularly to review CDC guidelines and strategize about ways to implement them once The Cadets resume in-person [...]

Help Us Unlock a $5,000 Donation Match

This week, a Cadets Alumna and 2020 Maroon & Gold Club member came forward with a challenge for her fellow Cadets supporters: She is willing to match all donations made between now the end of October, up to $5,000. In 2020, a year with no live events when we started afresh with a new non-profit organization, this is an amazing opportunity for The 2021 Cadets! Would you give what you can to help us raise $5,000? When we get the green light for some sort of tour, we want to be ready to send our Cadets off right and set [...]

5 Months Old, 86 Years Strong

The 2020 Cadets Story event is just over a week away, and we are now in the Final Push to the end of our fiscal year October 31. But this isn’t just any fiscal year, it’s actually our first year. While The Cadets has a rich, 86-year tradition of excellence, Cadets Arts & Entertainment - our new parent organization - is just five months old. Our staff and board of directors have been hard at work behind the scenes, laying a strong foundation for decades of Cadets to come. They deserve the best. But building a new business in 2020 [...]
