CPit Member Brings Alumni & Current Cadets Together

Last week, Cara Warntz, a legacy member of The Cadets Pit since 2019, got creative and ended up raising $1,000 for the corps. It started last summer, when The Cadets were on the road. The 2019 CPit had custom jerseys made to commemorate the season with 19 and their name on the back. Time went on, and drum corps went virtual for 2020. Cara wore her CPit jersey in an online performance, and several CPit Alumni saw it, loved it, and wished they had them when they marched. Cara took their wishes to heart. She and 2019 Alumnus Jacob Ahn [...]

This week, a Cadets Alumna and 2020 Maroon & Gold Club member came forward with a challenge for her fellow Cadets supporters: She is willing to match all donations made between now the end of October, up to $5,000. In 2020, a year with no live events when we started afresh with a new non-profit organization, this is an amazing opportunity for The 2021 Cadets! Would you give what you can to help us raise $5,000? When we get the green light for some sort of tour, we want to be ready to send our Cadets off right and set [...]

5 Months Old, 86 Years Strong

The 2020 Cadets Story event is just over a week away, and we are now in the Final Push to the end of our fiscal year October 31. But this isn’t just any fiscal year, it’s actually our first year. While The Cadets has a rich, 86-year tradition of excellence, Cadets Arts & Entertainment - our new parent organization - is just five months old. Our staff and board of directors have been hard at work behind the scenes, laying a strong foundation for decades of Cadets to come. They deserve the best. But building a new business in 2020 [...]

The Final Push

The Final Push – it’s a Cadets trademark. As we wow audiences with clean drill, great music and intricate guard work, we know something they don’t – If you think this is great, just wait for the last 45 seconds. When The Cadets are the most exhausted, we find it within ourselves to increase the momentum. We kick up the tempo to 200+ beats per minute. Feet, flags and tubas fly around the field as drill shapes weave a dazzling final effect. The we halt, and even the final note crescendos to the release. The Cadets leave it all on [...]

Equality & Inclusion: The Uncompromising Pursuit of Excellence

While The Cadets are known for their constant pursuit of excellence on the field, now more than ever, we are striving to apply that same uncompromising spirit to every facet of our organization. During the summer of 2020, the Cadets Arts & Entertainment Board of Directors established several committees to ensure strategic, responsible leadership for The Cadets Drum Corps and the non-profit organization as a whole. Among those, the Equality & Inclusion Committee has already proven to be an invaluable source of mindfulness, insight and progress, providing a strong organizational foundation in some of the most important and sensitive areas [...]

Statement Related to Legal Proceedings on Sept. 24

In response to the plea bargain and sentencing that was passed down yesterday, Sept. 24, in the Lehigh County, Pa. Courthouse, Cadets Arts & Entertainment would like to express our continued support for all of the victims involved in the criminal investigation. Their acts of selflessness and strength deserve our full respect, admiration and gratitude. We can only hope that the victims are also able to find some closure so that they can begin to move forward and heal. It is for this same reason that Cadets Arts & Entertainment was formed in April of this year – to move [...]
