The Audio Technician will report directly to the Audio Caption Manager – A1.
The Cadets are looking to add a qualified member to the audio team! Candidates with a background in audio engineering looking for experience in live mixing, equipment management, touring and network protocols are encouraged to apply here.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintaining the system
- Scanning RF and coordinating wireless systems
- Deploying the system multiple times, a day
- Troubleshooting any issues
- Mixing when A1 is unavailable
Qualifications
- Age 23 or older
- Knowledge of Dante, RF, Wireless Workbench, and IP Networking
- Experience of soldering is a must
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Knowledge of Digital Mixers and Line Arrays
- Knowledge of NS-1 or Ease Focus is a plus
- Ability to be on tour from mid/late May through August 12
Location and Schedule
The position will be structured primarily around the corps’ summer tour and will require travel with The Cadets Drum Corps. Ideally, the Audio Intern commits to working the entire tour from late May to August 12, 2023. Scheduling flexibility to accommodate serious pre-existing personal or school-related commitments will be applied when possible.
Compensation
This is a paid staff position. Travel is provided to and from tour, and all transportation, housing and food will be provided. Volunteers and interns will be considered for this position, and compensation will be negotiated if applicable.
