Impressive Team to Craft 2023 Sound Design & Show Concept
The Cadets have announced three more high-level staff members for the 2023 season. An impressive team will craft the sound and shape the creative concept for the corps: Lloyd Puckitt, Nathan Bashline and Ben Potts.
Lloyd Puckitt will serve as Audio Director. Lloyd is an accomplished audio engineer, sound designer and consultant. He was a member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle corps and has been a part of the pageantry arts in high school and college. During that time, he taught high school percussion before going on to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette to study Percussion Performance. Read his full bio here.
Nathan Bashline returns for 2023 as the Audio Caption Manager. He has been a part of the marching arts for over 10 consecutive years, having been a member, intern, educational staff, designer and adjudicator. Nathan hails from southeastern Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the Bushwackers in 2015 and was on staff at with many ensembles, most notably the Bluecoats in 2016, the Santa Clara Vanguard in 2019 and The Cadets in 2022. Also returning for another season with The Cadets is Ben Potts, who will serve as Creative Consultant. Ben Potts is currently a Senior Sound Designer for Warner Brothers Discovery. His creative input and sound expertise have contributed to projects for Disney, Showtime, Discovery +, NBC, Amazon Prime, ABC, ESPN, Fox Sports, Turner Sports, NIKE, History Channel, Sony Music, The US Olympic and Paralympic Teams, Nickelodeon, Disney Jr., UFC, ACC Network, NCAA, SEC Network, Facebook, NASCAR, Major League Baseball, NBA, NHL, CBS, TBS, and Netflix. Along with his work as a sound designer, Potts has credits on a number of shows and videos as a music editor, composer, writer, storyboardist, editor, assistant director, director, and producer. With an emphasis on creative storytelling, Ben is a five-time EMMY winner while collecting over 20 EMMY nominations on various projects.Read his full bio here.
